Yale is a three-year-old 45 lb girl who has shown us her resilience and funny personality!
Yale arrived to us quite timid but with some time and patience, she is learning to trust and let her playful side emerge. A patient loving home that is committed to establishing routine and using positive training will help Yale become her best self.
Do you have a child begging for a dog friend? Yale has taught us that quieter kids and other dogs are key to her thriving. She sticks close to visiting grandchildren in her foster home and will even change beds to sleep with them. Yale can be timid around larger dogs but will absolutely need another medium/small sized dog friend and no cats in her forever home.
Yale is not showing herself to be a high-energy dog as she can be content to nap most of the day. If you’re up for hikes in the forest or playing in the yard, she will happily come along! Yale will need a fenced yard to play in and quiet trails to explore. Dog parks and busy streets are not her thing.
We know Yale will need people to go at her pace so she can settle into her forever home. We also know she will reward you with a lot of laughs and perhaps some happy tears along the way. Part of her adjusting to her foster home has been showing her quirky and somewhat ridiculous behaviours such as having to eat dinner with her back legs on the couch and stretching her neck as far as it can to reach her foster dad’s glass of ice water. She is full of surprises!
If you think you have a home to be the key to Yale’s heart, please apply for her today!
