Allow me to introduce you all to the tremendous Teddy the Husky! At approximately four months old, he is a true joy to be around and is ready to find his forever family.
Teddy is house trained, crate trained, and sleeps through the night. He is fostering in a home with no other pets but reacts well when meeting other dogs and people while out walking. He walks well on the leash but is still working on perfecting it. Being a typical husky, Teddy has a high prey drive, and he will chase birds, squirrels, rabbits, leaves, blossoms, etc. Teddy knows how to sit, shake a paw, and is working on coming when called. He is truly gentle, has no food aggression and is just a laid-back guy!
As Teddy is still a puppy with those sharp puppy teeth, a home with no small children would be best. He is fine to be left alone in his crate for short periods of time, but not to too long as he is young and needs to be with his people! His foster mom says he is a trouble-free awesome dog, as near perfect as a dog could be. He is very affectionate and loving, he just forgets sometimes he still has those sharp teeth! Teddy is easily distracted with a toy or something to chew.
Being a puppy, he does have his zoomie moments which are short lived and then he needs a nap. He will make a perfect walking or hiking companion. He has had his vet check and is in great health. This guy will be a great companion for years to come. Teddy will need an active family of his own. As huskies do have their little quirks, be prepared for a little husky singing and remember these guys need a securely fenced yard. His new family will need to commit to positive reinforcement training with this clever boy to help him shine. With continued positive human guidance, he will grow into an amazing companion and best friend.
