He can sometimes show his “grumpy old man” side if he meets a younger, extra-energetic dog by growling or barking, but he’s generally quite happy meeting other dogs and especially people. At home he’s happy to watch the world out the window or chill on his bed with a bone/chew toy. He has been totally fine to be left at home “alone” (i.e., with his foster sister) while his family is at work/school. Ryder’s also happy to cuddle as much as anyone is willing to give. This sweetie will tuck his head right into you to get as close as possible.
He loves chilling on the deck or in the yard on sunnier days, so a home with a fenced yard would be ideal. He is very happy with car rides, and hikes in new places are his new favourite thing! Ryder has been on a bit of a weight-loss journey since coming into his foster home. His walk/hike distances have been increasing steadily along with his stamina. He has lost 9kg since he came in, but he could stand to lose a little more which is totally doable because he loves his exercise.
