Meet Lucy, a 2.5-year-old terrier mix (we think Briard cross but..) approx 65 lbs, who is ready to find her forever family! This adorably affectionate girl loves adventure, whether it’s a hike, long walk or playing in the yard. She gets very excited to be spending one on one time and loves a car ride, especially when she can put her head out the window. She’s a fantastic neighborhood walker, unfazed by cars, skateboards, or loud noises. Lucy has recently undergone some training with a VHS approved trainer and is working on her reactivity to other dogs. She would thrive with an owner committed to continuing that training. She would likely do best in a home without other pets. Lucy is a quick learner and already knows how to sit, lie down, twirl, and shake a paw. While she doesn’t shed much, she does need regular brushing to keep her beautiful coat looking its best. Being a “herder”, she likes to have her people in view but she is also independent and able to be on her own. She is a “one of a kind” and has a personality to match her looks. She has not been around young children and due to her exuberant nature her foster mom thinks she would “bowl them over” when she gets excited. Older kids would be great. She has spent tome with her foster’s daughter and her friends with no issues. She has been left alone for a couple of ours without incident, she just lay at the door waiting for her foster family to come home. She doesn’t seem too interested in cats (It’s possible that she may have been around them in her previous home) but safe best would be no cats. A fenced yard and someone willing to continue with force free training is what this truly loving girl needs. This charming girl is looking for her forever home, and won’t disappoint if given the time and patience to allow her to feel safe.
