Sometimes we take in cats that we just aren’t sure will be adoptable to a home situation. Ferrah showed us that time and patience (and a lot of volunteer hours) can sometimes turn a possible barn cat into one that loves human touch. She is the perfect example.
Ferrah is a three-year-old domestic short hair black/white lady who came into our care after delivering five kittens outside under a living room window back in April. Thankfully the homeowner reached out and sought help in saving the entire family (this was not their cat). Now that her babies have flown the nest, mama has settled into loving the indoors, pets, and being loved on. It’s time for her forever person. She has such a huge personality and has really come into her own.
Because she has come so far and has shown such a love of their tried-and-true people that visit them every day, we are opting to do her adoption out of the shelter. This is where she currently feels the most at home. We do feel that a quieter home with no small children will serve her best.
If you have a quiet spot and are interested in adopting Ferrah, please complete an application. It is more geared towards adopting a dog, but do the best you can.
