“During a recent visit to the North, our guide showed us an area where 15 sled dogs were attacked and died while chained up and helpless. This is a common fate for sled dogs that are used and abused. The Victoria Humane Society (VHS) rescues and campaigns to end this practice. As a VHS donor I urge you to support this society.”

Meet Melody
Well her new name is Melody, for unchained Melody.
This girl lived on a chain for her entire life and she is now a senior at 10-12 years. After surviving a cougar attack while on that chain she was finally surrendered to VHS. Melody is in a loving foster home and has an appointment for a full work-up at the vet. She will get whatever she needs and we will find her a forever home where she will live the rest of her life in care and comfort.
