You may not realize how many animals we have in care at any given moment, so we thought we’d give you a snapshot in time. Right now, we have 106 animals in our care. They all need homes, the right homes, for the holidays. Help us spread the word! Remember, each animal we take in needs care and resources… food, transportation to and from vet visits, spay and neuters, medications, surgeries, toys, leashes, sweaters for the little ones…you name it.
Our current tally is 43 dogs and puppies, 62 cats and kittens, and 1 guinea pig in care. You may be wondering why they aren’t all on our Facebook page or website and here’s why. When animals first come into care, some are too young, others require behavioral assessment, some go off for spay or neuter, and still others need mending either from illness, injury, or poor socialization or trauma. We spend the time and the money, thanks to you — our wonderful supporters and donors, to care for them, to help them with rehabilitation, and to find them just the right home. Our goal is to always find the right much so that adoptions are permanent. Many of our animals have been through so much, but they all have so much love to give.
